The Oolong tea produced in Songbailing Tea Area in Nantou uses the traditional tea-making technology that has been used for nearly a hundred years. It undergoes medium-light fermentation, roasting in a bamboo cage, and repeated baking several times over a long and slow fire to make an ancient Dongding Oolong .

With natural honey fruit aroma and roasted fire flavor, the tea is mellow and resistant to foaming. The Dongding Oolong tea, which has been roasted for a long time, has a mild tea nature, contains more oolong tea polyphenols and less tannins. The early tea production in Taiwan was restricted by technology and preservation conditions, and most of the oolong tea produced was made using medium fermentation and medium roasting methods.

Because in the early days when there was no vacuum packaging machine and only bamboo roasting, the tea was packaged only in kraft paper or tea cans... Therefore, the oolong tea with a deeper roasting degree can be stored for a longer time in a normal environment.

Since most of these oolong teas came from "Dongding Tea Mountain" at that time, this kind of medium roasted fire tea was called " Dongding Oolong Tea ". Roasted fire tea that the older generations are accustomed to drinking now is often called "elderly tea" or "old morning tea".

Using a purple clay pot with good heat preservation effect, brewing Dongding Oolong or Tieguanyin tea with 95°-100°C boiling water can show a more pronounced tea fragrance and mellow taste!
